Role of the Response Team

Appalachian’s ARRA Response Team is working to:

• Develop and maintain open lines of communication with funding agencies as the North Carolina federal delegation
• Track the flow of ARRA funds to federal and state agencies as well as state and local government
• Develop effective communication with the Appalachian community to provide information about potential funding opportunities
• Proactively gather information about potentially fundable projects and activities already underway at Appalachian
• Coordinate responses to funding opportunities and facilitate teams when appropriate to maximize Appalachian’s potential for funding
• Identify external entities—community colleges, K-12 schools, private businesses, non-profit organizations—with whom Appalachian might partner
